Retrofitting services are provided free of charge by skilled volunteers trained at the Tyne Energy Guild. Funding for necessary equipment is made possible through proceeds from our guided tours and workshops, ensuring a sustainable approach to supporting the community.

Volunteers will evaluate your home to identify areas where energy efficiency can be improved.

Support in installing or improving wall, roof, and floor insulation to minimize heat loss.

Sealing and Draft Proofing
Volunteers will help seal windows, doors, and other gaps to reduce drafts and improve your home's airtightness.

Replacement of old lighting with energy-efficient LED alternatives to reduce electricity usage.

Installation of basic renewable energy solutions, such as solar-powered lighting or portable systems, where applicable.
